Navigation to observe wild life, bird and coastal landscape.
The Iberian south-east Mediterranean seaside is the habitat of several species of seabirds and cetaceans. The observation of these animal species is common if the access to the sea coincides with the phenological parameter of these species and the climate is appropriate. Besides the species-watching, the seabed’s of Alicante’s coast and the micro islands of Murcia’s coast have protection figures, such as Marine Reserves, ZEPA and IBA areas, that with its landscape quality obtain the qualifying name of “dream-like landscape".

The navigations are the perfect way to catch sight of singular birds and that from the coast they are harder to see. The little Paíños (Hydrobates pelagicus) regress to their colonies as the sunset or the smart Alcatraces (Morus bassanus). which are easily visible at sea, just as the pardelas Baleares (Puffinus mauretanicus) in their autumn arrivals.

The last incentive on board and once we arrive to the harbour is that we will join with the fishing boats at the same time as the fishermen release their uncommercial captures so for this reason we will also be able to observe the feast that some Larious species will have, species such as la gaviota corsa (Larus audouin), la gaviota sombría (Larus fuscus.), o la gaviota picofina (Larus genei.).

Perhaps, the unpredictable of this way of observation is one of the incentives with more value. The immensity of the sea, in and of itself already is a motivation, mainly when waves break, we can see a calderón gris’ fin (Grampus griseus.) or we suddenly find a pod of delfines mulares (Tursiops truncatus.) glad to play hide-and-seek with the keel of our schooner.
